African Black Soap

This unrefined African Black Soap is a versatile solution for a variety of skin types, including dry, rough, oily, and combination skin. As a fair trade and vegan-friendly product, it is made from locally sourced 100% natural ingredients using traditional techniques passed down through generations in Ghana. Due to the handmade nature of the soap, each batch may vary slightly in color, texture, and scent.

This all-natural soap boasts anti-aging properties and works well for both body and face, suitable for use by men, women, and children. To use, it is recommended to lather with a washcloth or sponge, rather than applying the bar directly to the skin, to avoid potential irritation from any ash particles that may be present.

While some may experience a temporary tingling or burning sensation during use, many find the soap to be moisturizing and effective for sensitive skin. However, it is important to follow up with a moisturizer, especially if you find the soap to be drying.

To care for the bar, keep it dry between uses, as it is a soft bar that may break or crumble. The soap may develop a white film while drying, but this is normal and can be avoided by storing the bar in a sealed container once completely dry. If desired, the soap can be broken into pieces for a one-time use or melted into hot water for use as a body wash or shampoo.

Please note that raw black soap may have a thin white coating of soda ash on the outside, which forms when the soap is exposed to air. This is a naturally occurring feature and is not a defect. Refunds will not be made for soap with soda ash on it, so please be aware of this before purchasing.
